4. Get a massage

Notice how some airports have quick foot massages services at the terminals? They really soothe and revive your tired feet. This can be applied to coworking spaces as well. In fact, some coworking spaces like Hera Hub in San Diego offers chair massages every Tuesday afternoon.

A quick 20-minute perk-me-up can rejuvenate you instantly and transform your mood, especially when you are feeling sluggish. After a massage, your circulation improves and your blood moves better. Your fatigue is reduced as lactic acid is removed from your blood. When you are constantly stucked at your desk, even though your blood is constantly pumping throughout your body some veins and arteries may not be fully expanding and collapsing, which allows waste to get caught in those areas. Certain muscles get tight and they can reduce blood flow to the brain. The relaxing of these muscles can allow your blood to flow more freely, giving increased energy to each muscle as well as to your body as a whole.

If your coworking space offers massages, go for it! If not, you might just want to check with that the person sitting next to you if he has great massage skills. Network, exchange skill sets, and get a massage session going! It benefits everyone.

5. Take a little nap

Do you know there are nap rooms in coworking spaces where you can catch forty winks? Like The Hive in Vancouver or Mutinerie in Paris.

Don’t rule out naps as fueling lethargy. Catnaps are actually great -- unless you have insomnia. However, if you aren't struggling to sleep at night, a quick catnap can help with that energy crash mid afternoon. Just don't sleep too long! The length of the nap will determine how good you feel. About 20 minutes works quite well, but much longer than that and you will wake up feeling terrible.

So head to the nap room of your coworking space when your heavy eyes will bear the burden of fatigue no longer. Or find a quiet spot and have a little doze. You are working for yourself, no one is watching you. Just remember that 20 minutes should be the maximum.

6. Yoga classes in the space

Are there free rooms in your coworking space? You can consider renting one with some coworkers, get a yoga teacher in, and have afternoon yoga classes in the space.

Yoga is a meditative exercise that centres the mind and relaxes the body. One of the simplest ways that yoga boosts your energy is through deep breathing. Yoga breathing exercises reduce your stress and free your mind. Deeply inhaling and exhaling alone will go a long way in calming you and stimulating your nervous system to generate greater energy. Just 45mins a day is good for recharge. Soma Vida in Austin does just that. The coworking space offers wellness programs on top of coworking spaces, where members can take up to balance up their work with centering exercises, right where they are.
